How much do I need to invest?

This is determined by various factors, and each site is very different. Some things to consider; what do you want from the site and what is the purpose of the site? How many pages will it need? Will users peruse a catalog, choose items to be placed into a shopping cart, and use secure order forms? Will you take advantage of the Flash technology? How many images will you use and do you require photography or scanning? Are you supplying the text or do you need our copy writing service? Do you know the basic structure of the site, or would you like us to recommend a site plan?

After discussing with you the features required, we'll put together a proposal for you to see all your costs up front. When the agreement is signed and deposit received, we'll start the hands on work towards your exciting new business marketing tool!

How does it work?

Each site has different features and purposes, although the same basic steps take place in creation, from plan and visualisation, to reality. We meet with you, the client. At times it may only be possible to meet over the phone. During our discussion, we'll gather all the information we can regarding the business about to be marketed, your preferences, ideas, purposes, and we will suggest and direct. It would be helpful to fill in the form on the Briefing page of our website.

An initial design is developed. We'll mock up a home page with graphics and text and put it on the web via our "Client Area", for you to view. Once you have entered your passwords that we have issued and view your mock up, we would like your feedback. The initial design is then modified based on your feedback. Once you have approved the design and layout, we move forward in constructing the site, adding the features you required.

At this point we would like all the information you may be supplying, ie. text and images. We'll be in touch regularly to get your feedback as the site progresses. The site is tested extensively on different browsers, different machines, and using different speed modems.

Once you have approved your site, and final payment has been made, we will upload your website to your host to go live, and the celebrations begin!

How long does it take?

Website development depends on many factors; the size of the site, the amount of programming, collating image and editorial content, photography if any, animations, etc. Often, we finish a job ahead of schedule.

How is my business found on the net?

Now that your website has been created for the purpose and audience that you had in mind, it needs to be found and seen! We can help you to promote your site. These options are an additional cost to the website which can be provided as part of the initial estimate.

Some options include:

  • Registering your site to search engines
  • Optimizing pages to ensure top ranking in search engines
  • Banner advertising on relevant sites which would link to your site
  • Registration of extra domain names (eg. If you are in the business of selling bark, and someone types in www.bark.com.au, this domain name can be registered to your website containing your business name, and the viewer will immediately be sent to your home page. A percentage of users employ this method called "natural word searching" to locate information)
  • We can also provide you with site statistics showing how busily your site has been working for you, and determine whether more promotion needs to take place
