Project details

Australian Personal Computer (APC) was still Australia's largest selling computer magazine in 1998, when this project was created.

The client was hoping to boost advertising by comparing data with Australia's mainstream newspapers. Generally it was shown that by advertising in APC, you were reaching your target market and more of them, than any of the newspapers.

There were no boundaries on design or concept from the client. We came up with the racing theme, sourced the steering wheel for the cover of the brochure, also in the shape of a steering wheel, and had the copy rewritten with the theme of a day at the races. About 22 pages including a handful of charts, a die-cut on the front around the logo so it could be inserted into the cover and many hours later, we had a winner that the client was seriously impressed with.

It was designed to be sent to Australia's top 200 advertising agencies, to educate them as to where it would be advantageous for their clients to advertise.
